Biography

Edoardo Meazza was born in Milan, where he still lives. He is the father of Elena and grandfather of Emanuele. He completed his secondary education in French in Lausanne, Switzerland.

His family embodies the hardworking Milanese middle class that, since the early 20th century, has contributed to making Milan a leading city in Italy and internationally.

He began his professional career in 1973 at the historic F.lli Meazza S.p.A., founded in 1929 by his father Ezio and his uncle Tullio. Within the company, he served for many years as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer.

He subsequently established several new businesses, also holding executive positions within them. Despite the challenging social, political and economic conditions of the 1970s and 1980s, compounded by specific corporate difficulties, he consistently pursued his entrepreneurial activities with great dedication, regarding them as a personal mission.

In 2010, he decided to embark on a new professional path, applying his experience and expertise to the communications sector before returning to entrepreneurship in the publishing industry.

Today, supported by a team of specialised professionals, he draws on his extensive entrepreneurial experience and broad network of personal and professional relationships to serve the world of physical and digital exhibition marketing.

His primary objective is to create tangible opportunities for emerging writers to gain visibility and sell their works. This goal has already been successfully achieved in Milan through the first five editions of the EDITA Exhibition, which is now looking towards the future through its new digital format.

Current Professional Activities

More broadly, his professional activities focus on the conception and organisation of events in the publishing sector. The digital EDITA Exhibition represents the fullest expression of this work.

EDITA was established in Milan in 2021 following an idea conceived by Edoardo Meazza: to create an innovative and unconventional exhibition format dedicated to independent publishing. The project was designed to give emerging authors a voice and provide small publishing houses with a high-quality platform through which to explore alternative channels.

Today, EDITA is a dynamic meeting point for creativity, culture and new professional relationships.

Following its first five editions in Milan, the exhibition evolved into a fully digital format, reaching audiences throughout Italy. This forward-thinking approach offers significant economic and logistical advantages for both exhibitors and readers.

The digital platform makes the experience accessible 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Readers can interact directly with authors and purchase their books in just a few clicks.

EDITA – Digital Edition reduces costs, removes geographical barriers and multiplies opportunities for connection.
